About

REGAL
After starting his DJing career in the UK in 1986, Regal began working the local club circuit in 1990, including the Mud Club in London and various warehouse parties. As one half of the seminal UK act THE WISEGUYS with DJ TOUCHE, he released the acclaimed album “Executive Suite” in 1996 on the influential Wall of Sound label.
After touring Australia in early 1997, Regal left THE WISEGUYS to form BRONX DOGS with London DJ partner, RICHARD SEN, releasing a string of classic B-Boy anthems including “Tribute To Jazzy Jay” and “Mixed Blood (Mambo roc)”. BRONX DOGS went on to release two albums “Three Legged Funk” in 2000 (Heavenly Records) and “Enviro” 2001 (Marble Bar Records).
In 1998 DJ Regal launched his record label, MARBLE BAR, releasing 15 singles and 7 albums in 3 years, and becoming the first UK label to specifically release Australian dance music with the compilation “The Burning Issue”.
In early 2002, after touring with the ‘Vibes On A Summers Day’ festival & settling in Oz, Regal remixed “Get Ready” by Perth’s awesome live band, RHIBOSOME and the ARIA award-winning single “Karma” by Melbourne’s 1200 TECHNIQUES. Regal also collaborated with Melbourne’s DJ RANSOM on the B-Boy track “Do the Do” (Hydrofunk). Later that year Bronx Dogs also returned with their final single, a cover of “Can’t be Funky” on Illicit Records. Regal is set to return with the release of his first solo release “Shock Ya Mind” (Funk Weapons), with an album in the works to follow.
Now based in Sydney Australia, Regal become a resident at the seminal “Boogie Down” night (at Candy’s Apartment), and continues to play at all good parties and events around the country. Currently Regal can be heard on the airwaves weekly on Bondi FM’s “The Musiquarium”, spinning Nu- Soul, Jazz, Funk, Hip Hop, Latin and other goodies, from 2-4pm every Friday.

FRENZIE
As the host of the popular GROOVE THERAPY radio show, Friday afternoons on 2SER FM, Frenzie first cut his teeth DJ’ing in Melbourne in the late ’80s, having grown up being inspired by the early cut and paste sounds of hip hop music. In the mid-’90s he spent 5 years in Brisbane, and in that time managed to DJ regularly at pretty much every decent venue around town, and in the process established himself as one of Brisbane’s most prominent DJ’s. His time in Brisbane is probably best known for his residency at the infamous Empire Hotel, where he played with veterans DJ Katch and Johnny Griffen, for the highly successful ‘All Souled Out’ nights.
Nowadays, Frenzie has settled down in Sydney, where once again he has played at every decent inner city venue at one time or another. In 2001, he secured a management position at Sydney’s most beloved club – The Globe, where he ran another hugely successful night ‘FLY’ with fellow partner Illya.
Frenzie has played at all major music festivals, featured on the 2001 Triple J ‘Turn Up Your Radio’ tour with Endorphin and Groove Terminator, and has 15 years experience presenting programs on community radio around Australia.
